A multi-functional arts space, with inspiring spaces for hire be they theatrical, wedding, personal or corporate needs.
The Assembly Roxy is a unique venue centrally situated in the heart of the Old Town in Edinburgh. The venue has three main spaces in the former church building. The first is Roxy Upstairs, which is a raked theatre space suitable mainly for theatrical performances. The second is Roxy Downstairs, formerly only used in the Fringe Festival but now in use all year round and consists of a small raked theatre space, which would be suitable for smaller scale events such as workshops or auditions. The last and largest space we have is Roxy Central, which is a flexible hall space that is used for a wide variety of events, ranging from corporate events and weddings to theatrical performances and ceilidhs. Roxy Central is a truly unique and beautiful room, with original features and stone pillars. It also has a stage at one end and a bar at the other. Assembly Roxy is also home to the Snug Bar, a cosy space that can be used independently or along with our other spaces in order to provide a comfortable place for people to relax before, during or after an event. The building is well known for its use in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, but open all year from September to July.
